Our firewood is naturally seasoned hardwood. It can achieve a moisture content of under 10%. To achieve this we start with our quality timber and then time, lots of time. Our hardwood timber was thinned 18 months ago and stored in windrows to season naturally. We process it into firewood and store it indoors. You can easily test hardwood firewood for moisture if the bark peals off easily. Also bang two pieces together and listen for a “ring”, wood with high moisture with “thud”.
