Our firewood is carefully harvested to thin the forest. We allow for just the right amount of sunshine, shade, and soil integrity. All the firewood comes from our agroforestery farm consisting of sycamore, ash, red alder willow, hazel and oak was planted over 30 years ago. To bring back the health of the forest we are culling and diversifying the trees as well as the bushes and shrubs.

You can pick up your bagged pallet directly at the farm or have it delivered for an extra €50 per pallet. We'll contact you to arrange.

Our firewood is naturally seasoned hardwood. It can achieve a moisture content of under 10%. To achieve this we start with our quality timber and then time, lots of time. Our hardwood timber was thinned 18 months ago and stored in windrows to season naturally. We process it into firewood and store it indoors. You can easily test hardwood firewood for moisture if the bark peals off easily. Also bang two pieces together and listen for a "ring", wood with high moisture with "thud".
