We are greater than organic

January 30, 2021

How are we greater than an organic farm?

Our farm is not only welfare friendly, carbon positive but we are greater than the standards for organic.
Unfortunately, due to regulations and standards we don't get any aid or grants from the government as we don't meet the criteria. We don't qualify for the single farm payment as we don't fit into the standard farming model. There is no where for us to go for help.

We are fully sustainable and our animals are far healthier than the bigger factory farms. We get the animals to do all the work as we don't even have a tractor, so as a result us almost no diesel.
The benefits of being a full sufficient and sustainable farm we ensure that we have such a low impact on the environment.

Our animals pasture forests and have not had any chemical intervention, such as vaccines, antibiotics and growth hormones. Even whilst the meat is being prepared for distribution there is no further additives or preservatives added to the meat such as salt water solution in pork. This means we far exceed the standards for organic.

Plus who doesn't love knowing where there meat comes from as unfortunately a lot of our Irish produce leaves our country and we import meat from other countries which you can buy in big supermarkets.
Help us to support local farms and business whilst ensuring our animals welfare is priority as well as our health from eat exceptional quality meat.

Because short distribution food chain has not been effected by Brexit or the Pandemic it keeps the money in our country and supports local farms and people.

We make sure we are 100% truthful, chemical free, our animals are happy and well cared for
